Springpack’s 2020 Highlights

What an unforgettable year 2020 has been. During a year where most of us stayed at home wherever possible, it was also a year where community spirit really shone through. At Springpack we have continued to support our loyal customers throughout the strange events of 2020. Take a look at some of our highlights of 2020.

45 years of Springpack

We hit a major milestone last year – we celebrated our 45th birthday! To commemorate the occasion, we visited one of our longest standing customers, and presented them with a hamper.

We’ve come a long way since 1975, and we’re excited to see where the next 45 years take us!

One thing we are certain of is our commitment to our customers and how we can provide them with the very best service and products. To see more of our 45th birthday celebrations, please click here.

New delivery cut-off time

In a big move for Springpack, we extended our next working day delivery cut-off. This means you can now order until 3.30pm to receive next working day delivery. The service we provide is incredibly important to us, and this was just one of the many changes we made in 2020 after listening to what our customers want.

We’ve facilitated this with our brand new fleet of 6 lorries, all featuring Euro 6 engines, which greatly reduce co2 and Nox emissions. The fleet is fitted with a telematic tracking system so we can provide real-time updates on deliveries.

Making a more sustainable Springpack

A big theme for us last year was ‘sustainability’ and becoming more eco friendly. This includes new products to our range, and also how we dispose of our own waste. As a company, we’re now sending 95% of our wastes to recycling and just 5% to landfill. You can find out more about what we did last year by clicking here.

Early in 2021, we’ll also be bringing to the market a new range of eco friendly products – watch this space!

Giving back to the local community

During October we raised money with a ‘dress down day’, with the proceeds going towards a food donation to Worcester Foodbank. Chris Clarke, our Marketing Manager, hit the shops with Roy for Worcester Foodbank to do our bit for the local community. Chris said, “Making this donation is something really important to the local community, and it’s something we are planning on doing again in 2021”.

We are planning on taking part in a series of charity events throughout 2021, and the team is thrilled to be involved. Keep your eyes on our blog pages for the latest updates!

Team Expansion

2020 saw us increase our number of colleagues, with a series of new appointments being made.

Annie joined our Customer Services Team, with Mark joining as our Procurement Manager. We also welcomed Roshan as a Digital Marketing Assistant.

To meet Annie, Mark, and Roshan, as well as the rest of the Springpack team, please visit our Meet The Team page.
