Masking Tape

Masking tape is a well-known type of tape which is used extensively across many industries. It’s commonly referred to as painter’s tape due to its extensive use by painters and decorators. It is so commonplace that it is used in both professional and DIY settings. Masking tape is a pressure-sensitive tape made of a thin and easy-to-tear paper. It is typically low tack, meaning that it can be removed without damaging the surface. This low tack feature is one of biggest benefits of this type of tape. Low tack means that it will avoid scratches or damage to paintwork as it allows the low tack tape to be easily removed without leaving residue or damaging the surface to which it is applied. Low tack masking tape is available in a variety of widths. It is resistant up to temperatures of 40°C for general purposes and premium masking tape is resistant up to 80°C. All rolls are 50m in length. No adhesive residue should reman when removed. Can be torn by hand, but for a professional finish, we recommend use of scissors or a packing knife. Similar to low tack protection tape, masking tape can be used during product assembly stage of production as it will protect the paintwork and varnished finish of individual components. Masking tape is also very good at providing protection from dust, dirt and general damage, without leaving any residue on the surface when it is removed.
