The Environmental Impact of Traditional Pallet Wrap vs Armour Wrap Eco

The Environmental Impact of Traditional Pallet Wrap vs Armour Wrap Eco

Why Forward-Thinking Businesses Are Making the Switch

Recent Articles

Every company in the UK is under increasing pressure to deliver efficiency, reduce costs, and meet sustainability goals—all without compromising on the strength and reliability of your packaging materials.

One of the biggest areas where small changes can make a big impact? Pallet wrap.

While it may seem like a low-priority product, the type of pallet wrap you use across your operation can have a significant environmental footprint. Armour Wrap Eco—our exclusive, eco-friendly alternative to traditional pallet wrap that offers performance you can rely on, and sustainability your business can stand behind.

Traditional Pallet Wrap: Still Widespread, Still Wasteful

Most traditional pallet wrap on the market is made using virgin plastic, which means it’s manufactured using raw fossil fuels. Not only does this contribute to carbon emissions, but once the wrap is used, it can end up in landfill, adding to the growing plastic waste crisis. Yes, pallet wrap can be recycled once it’s been used, but surely it’s better to start with the recycled version first!

Some suppliers may offer “recycled” films, but more often than not, these are made from factory floor offcuts or scrap from within the production process, not true post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. While it’s technically recycled, it doesn’t help reduce the volume of plastic already circulating in the environment.

Armour Wrap Eco: Built for Performance, Designed for Sustainability

Armour Wrap Eco is the answer to a true alternative for traditional pallet wrap. It’s a 100% post-consumer recycled pallet wrap that delivers on the strength, stretch, and durability required in fast-moving logistics environments, without the environmental compromise. When used side by side, there is no reduction in performance between Armour Wrap Eco, and a traditional pallet wrap.

Whether you’re wrapping pallets by hand or using an automated line, Armour Wrap Eco is available in both hand wrap and machine film formats, so it slots seamlessly into your operation.
